COVID-19 Announcement - CPHR NL

A message from our President…

CPHR NL Members,

In response to the COVID-19 virus, the Board has determined that cancelling the Meet and Greet, scheduled for this Thursday (March 19), would be in the best interest of our membership.  Furthermore, we were about to announce details concerning our second HR symposium set for this spring.  That event is also postponed.  We hope we can reschedule it for sometime early this fall.  Normally, we hold our AGM sometime in the spring.  Our intention, as we did last year, was to conduct the AGM during the symposium.  We will monitor the situation closely to determine a path forward, including the use of technology for the  AGM, hopefully in May.

We understand that responses to preventing the spread of COVID-19 has placed unique challenges on employers, and that frequently HR practitioners are central in managing the response.   As a reminder, there is a HR webinar next week dealing with this very topic.  This webinar is provided by CPHR NS.  We hope it can be helpful for those that participate.

We have gathered some others relevant sources of information related to COVID-19, with links below.

At this moment, all other activities of CPHR NL will continue as normal.

Please stay healthy and safe.
