Pay Equity Plans
CPHR Canada continues to contribute to raising awareness among employers under federal jurisdiction of their obligations related to pay equity plans which must be developed by next September. In collaboration with pay equity consultant Denise Perron, CRHA, we have just published an article encouraging employers who have not yet started to begin their work as soon as possible, and focusing on some of the challenges associated with this demanding exercise.

CPHR Canada Pre-Budget Requests
Our pre-budget requests were sent last week to the Minister of Finance. Our ten recommendations focused on three issues: persistent labor shortages despite the current slowdown; mental health workers; and diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. Several ministries being concerned by these recommendations, we sent our letter to the offices of three other ministers (Employment and Workforce Development, Labor, and Immigration), as well as to the spokespersons of the three opposition parties on these issues.
