The Company You Keep: Why Great Leaders Don’t Go It Alone

Leadership can be lonely. In fact, 76% of founders report feeling lonely, and half of CEOs say the same. HR and people leaders often experience their own version of that isolation—supporting everyone else while having few places to turn to themselves.
The strongest leaders don’t succeed by carrying everything alone. They intentionally build trusted networks that help them make better decisions, navigate challenges with confidence, and stay resilient under pressure.
The session opens with a live, anonymous pulse check, giving attendees a chance to reflect on their own support systems while revealing the shared realities of leadership across the audience. Megan will then introduce her Support System Framework, guiding attendees through a practical exercise they can complete during the session to map the people already supporting them and identify the relationships that will help them grow as leaders.
You’ll leave with:
- A clear understanding of the five types of support every leader needs—and which one will have the greatest impact on you right now.
- Your own Support System Map, built during the session, identifying who you can lean on today and where to intentionally strengthen your network.
- A simple, two-line message you can send this week to deepen an existing relationship or reconnect with someone who can support your growth.
