Learning Objectives:
  • Why a robust Employee Voice & Survey strategy is crucial for both improving the employee experience and creating organizational resilience, especially during times of change.
  • Key trends and effective strategies for modern employee listening approaches resulting in action, and how to implement a winning approach.
  • How technology has transformed employee surveys, enabling more dynamic and actionable feedback processes.
  • Essential mindsets for driving cultural change, supported by real-world company examples.
Rob’s Session will have a number of interactive moments via chat, but also focus on a strategy that can be taken away and implemented.

WorkTango’s Active Listening Strategy is a modern approach to employee feedback that goes beyond traditional, infrequent surveys. Instead of just “listening,” it’s about a continuous, structured process to collect, understand, and respond to what employees are saying. It creates a feedback loop where action is visible, and employees know their voices matter.

The strategy emphasizes a continuous cycle, often referred to as a “flywheel,” with three main phases:
  • Ask: Capturing feedback from employees through various channels like engagement surveys, pulse checks, and lifecycle surveys (for new hires, stay interviews, and exit feedback).
  • Aha: Analyzing the data to uncover “aha!” moments—prioritized areas for improvement—including both quantitative scores and the qualitative “why” behind them.
  • Act: Taking what is learned to drive meaningful change. This is the most crucial step, as listening without action doesn’t work.
