Join HR and people leaders from across Canada for an interactive roundtable exploring the shifting realities of compensation and retention. Through facilitated breakout discussions and shared group insights, participants will examine how pay transparency legislation, geographic pay strategies, and wage inflation are reshaping employee expectations and internal equity.
This session focuses on real‑world challenges, peer learning, and practical approaches that organizations are using right now to navigate competitive pressure and retention risk.

  • Pay Transparency Legislation: Ontario’s new pay transparency legislation is setting a clear precedent – and raising an important question for employers across Canada. Should other provinces follow suit?
  • Geographic Pay: Navigating fairness and consistency.  Should pay be tied to head office location, employee location, or role value?
  • Wage Inflation & Compression: How do you manage market pressure and the demands of new hires while protecting internal equity?

Sheri Brake is a Joint Principal with AccessHR and leads the HR Consulting, Learning and Development, Workplace Investigations and Leader Coaching practices.  Sheri combines her years of HR experience with her authentic, down-to-earth style to support clients in all industries. 
   Susan Power, MBA, PCC (Co-Host)
Susan Power is CEO of PowerUp Leadership in Halifax and leads Talent Strategy Roadmaps, Leadership Development Programming, and M&A integration planning.  Susan’s 25 years of HR expertise is combined with her entrepreneurial focus of supporting hyper growth organizations to level up their leadership capabilities.
