DESCRIPTION:CPHR Manitoba offers the CPHR NKE Preparation Course in partnership with Captus Press Inc. \nThis course is designed to help participants consolidate the knowledge they already have and – more importantly – identify where they need to focus additional studying in order to be successful in completing this multiple-choice assessment. \nYou Will: \n\nAcquire information about the NKE that will enhance your understanding of the exam format and testing process.\nLearn tips and tactics for writing multiple choice exams.\nReview study skills and strategies to determine your personal learning plan.\nReview the exam weighting to indicate knowledge gaps in each discipline area.\nPractice sample exam questions to evaluate your individual knowledge.\nShare learning with colleagues through discussion and participation in learning teams.\n\nAs a result\, you will be able to: \n\nAssess your personal knowledge of each discipline area.\nDesign a personal learning plan.\nSuccessfully write the exam with greater confidence.\n\nParticipants in our virtual prep course said the following upon completion of the course: \n\nThey had a better understanding of how to approach writing a multiple choice exam \nThey had a better sense of their knowledge gaps and how to prepare for the exam \nThe manual would be a valuable study tool as they prepared for the exam \nThe sample exam questions included throughout the manual reinforced the materials covered in the course \nThe session recordings would be a valuable tool as they studied for the exam\n\nPrep courses can be helpful refreshers of information and many writers who take a prep course perform better on the NKE; however\, a prep course is not a replacement for an educational program in HR. \n \n\n\n\n Format:\n \n Online\, live interactive sessions (Zoom)\n\n\n\nDates/Times:\n Saturday\, March 4\, 2023\n Saturday\, March 11\, 2023 \n 9:00am – 5:00pm CT each day \n\n\n Cost (add GST): \n Members – $425\n Non-members – $500 \n Full payment must be received by the registration deadline of February 10\, 2023 (extended to March 1\, 2023) \n Registration will be cancelled if full payment is not received by this date.\n\n\n Registration Deadline: \n *Extended to March 1\, 2023\n\n\n Registration Includes:\nPrep Course Manual – Participants will be given access to an ebook.  \nRecordings – Participants will receive access to the recording of each session. Jody Wilson-Raybould\nFormer Member of Parliament | Former Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada | Bestselling Author \nThe Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould\, PC\, OBC\, KC\, was raised to be a leader. The daughter of a hereditary chief and Indigenous leader\, she always knew that she would seek leadership roles and responsibilities. As a lawyer\, an advocate\, and a leader among Canada’s Indigenous Peoples\, she’s built a strong reputation as a bridge builder and champion of good governance and accountability. She was also elected BC Regional Chief of the Assembly of First Nations in 2009\, where she devoted herself to the advancement of First Nations governance\, fair access to land and resources\, as well as improved education and health care services. She served until 2015\, holding responsibilities for governance and Nation building on the Assembly of First Nations Executive. \nWilson-Raybould is a descendant of the Musgamagw Tsawataineuk and Laich-Kwil-Tach peoples\, which are part of the Kwakwaka’wakw and also known as the Kwak’wala speaking peoples.
