DESCRIPTION:Program Overview\n\n\nThis event will detail what creates an accent\, how to make unconscious accent bias more conscious\, and ways to navigate language barriers caused by differences in language ability (not accents).  \nAccents vary widely\, and these differences are not always treated equally. In some instances\, they can lead to biased treatment in the workplace\, either favoring or disadvantaging individuals with certain accents.
