However\, before a leader can begin to try to change the way others communicate\, the first step is to bring forward how one communicates.  \nThis session gives you the chance to explore your own communication style\, first deconstructing it\, and then looking at ways you can reconstruct it\, to become a champion communicator. It is a process that will enhance not only your own ability to communicate\, but you will gain an understanding as to how others communicate. This knowledge is gained though the facilitation of a Clarity4D communication profiling process.  \nClarity4D communication profiling was developed in England and is now recognized around the world as a communication training program that results in creating a pathway forward to build relationships through effective communication\, at work and beyond. As we all strive to communicate more effectively with each other at work\, developing communication skills through the Clarity4D process brings forward the tools and techniques that are unique to each person within a team. The Clarity4D approach results in developing new ways to communicate and to understand how communication differs for each person. As many are aware\, these personality profiling\, coaching\, and development programs are not new in the corporate world\, but what is unique to Clarity4D is that it is a learning process that ensures real change in organizational communication takes place. This brings forward the results clients are looking to achieve as a result of such forms of self-discovery and learning.  \nNote: Attendees will be provided with a free Clarity4D communication profile\, which will be required to be completed prior to the session.  \nAbout the Facilitators \n\n\n\n \nJudy Oliver\, Commercial Director of Clarity4D\, Stamford\, Engalnd\, UK\n\n\n\nJudy is one of the founders of Clarity4D.  This business began in England\, in 2008 when Judy and others felt that there was an opportunity to create a quality personality profile that was Simple\, Affordable\, Global and Effective. Judy has a passion for combining education and personal development with organisational productivity. It is these 3 elements that help her and the Clarity4D family enlighten and unlock the potential of young people\, individuals\, and teams through the 4 Dimensions of personal development – Discover\, Discuss\, Diversify and Develop. She takes great pride in seeing the global growth of Clarity4D and believes it is important to be your authentic self. And for all those working with Clarity4D\, she says\, “Be your own person; be “in your element” and do what you enjoy”. \n \nNancy Thompson\, CEO\, 5D Corporate Teaching and Learning \nNancy is the CEO of 5D Corporate Teaching and Learning Centre. SUMMARY:Avoid Retention Landmines with Employee Financial Wellness Tools
DESCRIPTION:2023-11-14\n\n\nWhen:\nNovember 14\, 2023\n10:00am – 11:30am\n\n\nWhere:\nCPHR Nova Scotia Training Room\n84 Chain Lake Drive\nSuite 103\nHalifax\, Nova Scotia  B3S1A2\nCanada\n\n\nPresenter:\nStephanie Holmes-Winton\, Founder\, CacheFlo\n\n\nContact:\nevents@cphrns.ca\n\n\n\n \n \nSession Topic\nFinancially-stressed employees are 2x times as likely to be looking for a new job. It’s a retention landmine- but it doesn’t have to be that way! \nIt can cost between 150% and 400% of an annual salary to replace mid-level to high-level employees\, so turnover can be a fiscal nightmare for any company\, especially when costs are already so high. Employees leaving the company can also lower the morale of the entire group\, especially if a few people are leaving at a time\, or turnover is becoming more frequent. \nA pension\, group RRSP\, or health benefits are important to help employees make the most of their resources\, but these alone will not create the financial wellness employees need. \nEAP programs are great for employees in crisis\, but it won’t help the average employee improve their finances.  And spoiler alert- even senior employees and those with higher salaries get into financial pickles!  Even presentations from the pension provider won’t cover the most frequent financial pains like cash flow and debt. \nMore than half of employees are likely to be interested in leaving their current employer for one who cares about their financial health; it’s even worse for those who are stressed out by their finances. According to PwC\, 73% of financially stressed employees say they would be attracted to another employer that cares more about their financial well-being compared to just 54% of non-financially stressed employees. \nLearn more about this retention power tool: \n\nHow financial stress undermines your retention efforts\nHow to evaluate your workplace’s financial education needs\nStrategies to get CEOs and other leadership on board with financial wellness efforts\nHow to leverage existing programs to show your care about your team’s financial health\nMeasuring financial health trends across your employee group\nWhy financial wellness must go beyond EAP programs to be impactful\nUsing your financial wellness innovations to become an employer of choice\n\n  \n \nAbout the Facilitator\n \nAfter a decade working as an independent financial advisor\, Stephanie Holmes-Winton started CacheFlo\, a fintech education company that creates tools and eLearning for financial professionals and employee financial wellness programs. \nLike most of us\, Stephanie is more excited about spending than saving (and has little time for budgets of any kind)\, so she built an innovative\, at-your-fingertips app called Winton that helps accumulate savings\, even as you pay for “real life.” Earlier this year\, she rebranded her in-demand Employee Financial Wellness Programs as Real Life Money. This digital\, behavior-based program teaches employees everything they need to know and do to become financially capable and in control of their own finances. \nStephanie also created an accredited Certified Cash Flow Specialist (CCS) program for Financial Advisors to help their own clients manage their cash flow.  Yes\, she’s an advisor to advisors!  \nStephanie has written two books on spending and debt: Defusing the Debt Bomb\, and $pent. She’s also been a regular contributor in media\, including CBC Radio and CTV\, and her advice has been featured in publications and podcasts from coast to coast. \n  \n \nPricing\n\n\n\nMembers\nFREE \n$20 refundable deposit required\n\n\n Non-members\n $20\n\n\n\n  \n  \nWhile it is on-site in Halifax\, members from out-of-province are welcome to attend virtually. There is a $20 deposit to hold the seat\, but we will refund that for all members who register and attend. All members simply need to choose the ticket that has “MEMBER REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT”  in the title\, this is how we’ll know who to refund. \nMembers do not get the refund if they do not attend the session after registering.
